Native Foods opens Aliso Viejo location

May 30th, 2008, 11:01 am · 2 Comments · posted by Michael Doss

nativefoods.gifAfter several delays and a lot of unreturned phone calls inquiring about a opening date, Irvine-based Native Foods at long last debuted their Aliso Viejo location today.

Unlike its Costa Mesa counterpart which is housed in a round, yurt-like structure, the new location is a unit in a strip-mall style building next to the Edwards Theater in the Aliso Viejo Town Center on Aliso Creek Road, near the 73. The restaurant will feature a menu very similar to those at its other locations.

Native Foods is one of the few all-vegan restaurants in Orange County, and one of only two vegan chains (the other being Irvine-based Veggie Grill). The company has larger expansion plans, but no specifics as to future locations.
