Vegin’ Out expands vegan delivery to all Southern California

April 29th, 2008, 12:46 pm · 1 Comment · posted by Michael Doss

veginout.jpgVegin’ Out, a Los Angeles-based vegan weekly meal delivery service, is expanding service to all of Southern California, including Orange County.

The company delivers a weekly menu of entrées, sides, soup and dessert, typically 9-10 meals worth. All are vegan and a high percentage are organic, and each delivery runs $100 (or less if you order multiple). There’s also a $15 delivery charge, giving you a per-meal cost hovering near $12.

The service is similar to DineWise, DietToGo, and Fresh Dining and a host of diet-specific meal delivery services, but with an all-vegan menu.

Orders in Los Angeles will continue to be delivered by the company, while out of area shipments (Including OC, as far north as San Luis Obispo and as far south as San Diego) are shipped by DHL in insulated boxes.

The LAV’s take: It’s certainly a a niche service, but nice if you’re not into that whole cooking thing. I love prepared and take-out food as much as the next guy, but I wouldn’t want it every day, by any means. There are also only 8 items on the menu every week, with limited customization options. Still, if you’re looking to eat vegan but don’t care about the details, this might be a good way to go.

In my opinion the problem with “In God We Trust” is the word “WE”.
It makes it a unanimous command.
Perhaps it should read “In God I Trust”, or “In God Some Trust”
etc. Nobody knows for sure about God, but we do know not everybody
is a believer and Freedom of Religion is also Fredom not to believe
    or follow by command.
