Theo Lacy personnel accused of Tasering cat

Apparently not content with allegations of sleeping on the job, bullying inmates, and using “shot callers” to police the jail while playing video games, Theo Lacy jail personnel (and possibly Sheriff’s Deputies) today are accused of using a Taser on a cat - yes, a feline - at the Theo Lacy jail in March.
The Orange County Animal Shelter will conduct a necropsy on the cat, though I’m not sure how much can be determined several weeks later. While I’m sure the cat was resisting arrest and high on meth, the Sheriff’s Department really didn’t need any more bad press this month.

This is such a sad story. I think Orange County needs to test police/ sherrifs for steriods/ drugs. I had a friend at Theo Lacy & he had seen the cops raid the cells & in the process just knock inmates unconscious, so it doesn’t surprise me that they would tortue an innocent animal.

This (and the Chamberlain beating death, the Carona case, the Haidl rape case, etc.) validates my belief that the majority of “law enforcement” officers are no better than the criminals they’re supposed to protect society from.

i have been a veterinary nurse for 15 years and when a friend of mine, unfortunately an inmate at theo lacy, told me the day the murder of this innocent cat occured, i was absolutely discusted but not suprised considering the way the visitors let alone inmates are treated by the jailers.
i was torn about informing the media for fear my friend would be punished for my speaking out.
i was so happy to find out today that the a..hole that committed the crime was FIRED!
havent there been studies done that have shown that pedafiles, murderers, and rapists started out by torturing, mutilating and murdering animals?
he needs an immediate psych evaluation and definite long term psychotherapy
