OC Pastor Again Prays For Deaths of Americans United Staff Members

February 15th, 2008, 12:03 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Michael Doss

Following the news this week that he may have illegally endorsed Huckabee, Buena Park Pastor Wiley Drake has asked his followers to engage in “Imprecatory Prayers” against leadership of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, who brought to light the Huckabee endorsement.

“Imprecatory Prayers” are curses asking for the death or destruction of those prayed for, citing Psalms 109 (as well as Psalms 55, 58, 68, 69 and 83). You can read Drake’s call to action here.

Drake used the same tactics last August when AU last called on the IRS to look into concerns of improper electioneering.

August’s prayers didn’t seem to work. God must be on the side of American United.

Update: Martin’s got comments from Drake at the Total Buzz Blog.
